City and Partners Break Ground on Supportive Housing Project

January 17, 2023

City leaders joined partners for the groundbreaking of Greenbrier Village, an integrated affordable housing project that will bring 59 units of permanent housing with supportive onsite services to homeless or at-risk of being homeless individuals and families. Case management services will include care coordination, mental, physical, and behavioral health services, and employment development. The project is being constructed near the Crouch Street SPRINTER Station on Greenbrier Drive off of Oceanside Boulevard on what was a vacant lot.

Thank you to National Community Renaissance and San Diego Community Housing Corporation who've spearheaded this important project.  Funding partners include the City of Oceanside, San Diego County "No Place Like Home" Program, Hudson Housing Capital, and JP Morgan Chase Bank.

The Greenbrier Village project aims to be complete in 18 months.

The project leaders are committed to building high-quality sustainable communities, and it's anticipated that Greenbrier Village will receive a 'LEED for Homes' certification at the gold level or better.  More information

This project joins another essential element on the horizon: Oceanside's first permanent year-round shelter, the Oceanside Navigation Center, which is anticipated to open in late April.  Shelter Information
