Write On, Oceanside! is an annual literary festival hosted by Oceanside Public Library and Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation, with the goal to celebrate and inspire local authors. This year's 13th annual celebration will be once again live and in person! Join us on Saturday, August 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Oceanside Civic Center Plaza, located at 330 North Coast Highway, to celebrate the achievements of our local authors, learn from published writers and more.
The free event will feature readings, drawings, activities for kids, and a special workshop, “Parts of the Book” with Tiffany Vakilian. Tiffany has over decade experience in the publishing industry. She will share her experience to help peel back some of the hidden layers of the process of printing a book, shining light on the specific features of printed books that help to market the product and lend credibility to the author.
The local author showcase will feature 20 local authors sharing from, selling and signing their books. Winners of both the SIX WORD STORY contest and the “Getting through to the Other Side…in Oceanside” contest will be announced, and one special local author will be highlighted for helping to bring literature to the forefront in Oceanside.
