Humans of Oceanside Event August 5

Join us to meet and learn from fellow community members! The Oceanside Public Library is hosting a “Humans of Oceanside” event on Friday, August 5 at 6:00 p.m. at the Civic Center Library Courtyard (330 N. Coast Highway). Converse with Oceanside residents who are actively making a difference in our community. These “Humans of Oceanside” will share their passions and work with attendees. Each presenter will be seated at a table, and attendees will rotate after a short time to the next presenter to promote a casual space that invites conversation. Participants are encouraged to be curious and respectfully converse to get to know these humans, their work, and their passions on a deeper level.

The featured “Humans” will be a wounded healer, a founder of a mutual aid movement, a beekeeper/hive relocator, a smoothie artist/barista educator and a community arts curatorial director. They were selected because of their roles and unique knowledge.

Registration is required, visit bit.ly/osidesignup to register or call 760-435-5600. This event is part of the Adult Summer Reading program, “Reading Beyond the Path.” Support for this program is provided by The Friends of Oceanside Public Library. The Oceanside Public Library aims to empower the community by promoting literacy, information access, civic engagement, cultural inclusiveness, and openness to new ideas.
