Support Oceanside Businesses

Due to previous orders preventing dining in restaurants, many local restaurateurs have adapted their operations for delivery or pick up only.  They are ready for your order, so please support them whenever possible!  Both Mainstreet Oceanside and the Oceanside Chamber have prepared webpages including links to menus, hours, and more:

Many businesses and employees are feeling the impact of the new orders.  The City's website has links to resources for both businesses and their staff.  The City's Economic Development Division is working on short and long-term ways to support and assist our businesses.

Senior Citizens

Oceanside residents ages 60+ can arrange for meal delivery through "Serving Seniors" by calling (760) 435-5285.  There are also new food distribution resources for all in need listed on the City COVID-19 webpage.  Some Oceanside businesses have begun reserving the first hour for seniors or those with compromised immune systems to shop.  We encourage you to call ahead and see if that's an option at your favorite grocery store.

Food / Supplies

Grocery stores are considered "essential services" and are not likely to close during the pandemic period.  If the County orders all to "shelter in place," people will still be able to go out to pick up essential food/supplies while practicing "social distancing."

City Council Meetings

At the March 18 Special Meeting of the City Council, the room was arranged for the "social distancing" requirements.  With new requirements banning gatherings of 10 or more, City staff exploring ways that citizens can weigh in, as well as the usual e-position slip process.  City Council meetings are live streamed via KOCT and can be viewed live on Government Channel 19.  Calendar
