Water Quality

At the City of Oceanside, we are committed to providing safe and reliable drinking water.

The City of Oceanside’s Water Utilities Department is responsible for treating the City’s drinking water to ensure viruses, bacteria and pathogens are removed, and the water meets or exceeds federal and state health standards. The City’s water treatment facilities are maintained and operated by highly trained individuals who are required to hold specialized state certifications.

In addition, the City also has a state certified laboratory that tests the drinking water at treatment plants and at various points throughout the  distribution system for over 90 different contaminants.
